Compact human clothes
Today, a day after seeing our baby for the first time. Now Bridgitte and I had an agreement. If the scan was good, the sleeper couch in the studio would be sold so that we can rather put in a single bed into that room. Yep, the scan was good – I got online and placed an ad on Gumtree.co.za and CapeAds.
Now one thing that I have to part with when the baby arrives is my studio / study / computer room or whatever I call it. I like to call it the studio since that is where the computer is and where we record The ZA Show every week. So the first step in that quest is to part with the sleeper couch, I mean, how practical is this bit of furniture in a baby’s room? Yep, you guessed it- none whatsoever.
Today we spent the day walking around Bayside Mall where Bridgitte bought her first pregnancy book “Your pregnancy week by week” by Lesley Regan and to celebrate, she bought a pair of baby vests – ag, just too cute! The baby’s due date is around the 2-3rd of August which means that it is going to be a winter baby. Nice! No muggy hot weather to contend with.
I felt extra happy today. When I greeted cashiers at the stores we purchased from or anybody I came into contact with, even on the phone, with an extra happy greet! I felt I wanted to tell the world while walking around in Bayside. Me, a dad? I think it is going to take some time to sink in.
