Confirmation
Second round of blood tests were in, now the wait. It was only around 3pm when we got confirmation. Yep, Bridgitte is pregnant. hCG levels were way over 1,000. We were told that she must come in for a scan on the 10th of December. That is, like, 4 days before we go on holiday. Good timing I thought. If all goes well, this could be a great holiday indeed.
This was something that we definately wanted to keep a huge secret. Don’t want to make everybody excited again ‘eh? But, we could not help but tell our parents and siblings the good news. But did tell them to keep it to themselves until the 10th of December. We didn’t even tell any of our friends. I’ve heard of so many women who miscarry the first and on the second attempt everything goes well – I thought that we might fall into that category, but then thought “rather fear the worst, don’t get too excited, STAY AWAY from Baby City dammit, stay away!”
