Class starts on the 26th of May
One of the many, many things that I am looking forward to with the run up to the birth of our little boy is the antenatal classes. Yep, this is where you get to learn how to …. what do they teach you? Giving birth, knowing where the maternity wards is, how to de-stress the husband. right!!!
But everybody that has done them has come out saying how highly recommended they are. Of course, the part I am looking forward to, is meeting other couples in the same situation as us – sharing stories, chatting away and finding that common bond as to why we are there in the first place.
We’re having the classes at Milnerton Medi-Clinic, which is our home hospital for the pregnancy. Sister Joey O’Reilly is her name and she is our teacher for the duration of the course. I am not sure as to how many session we’re going to have, but I am looking forward to it, not only to learn, but to engage as well. Bridgitte described Sister J as quite bubbly and full of life and I think that already sounds like we’re going to have a great antenatal experience.
Baby is only due in August, but we’re already doing antinatel classes in May you ask? Well, she only offers a couple of courses a year with the next one after May pretty much during the time of the birth, so I somehow don’t think that between the pushing and screeming, we’ll be able to fit that in, so May it is.
