Here is the NT scan you all have been waiting for
It is finally here! The long awaited NT scan video – with audio, so you can enjoy all the weird and wacky comments from the 3 of us in the room. And you’ll hear and see the part where she gave us the news that we are having a boy and her confidence on that too.
I would of had this video up sooner if I knew that my new super dooper quad-core machine was only going to arrive, by the looks of things, in early March. Video editing and encoding on an XT (hehe) is just not cricket man.
But not to mention the uploading of this video, I don’t know if it is my crappy slow 384kbps ADSL connection that uploads at dialup speeds or what, but after my 4th attempt to upload to Zoopy, after my 2nd attempt to upload to MyVideo, I settled for Google Video. I really like Zoopy and MyVideo since they are just such good video sharing / social media playground sites, but also, they are local (I’m a big supporter of “Local is lekker”) and they are just such good people – of course knowing Jason and his crew and Rowan and his crew respectively too.
One thing that they don’t have that Google Video has is a windows based video uploader tool. Firing that sucker up, got my video uploaded one time.
So enough of the tech talk, I’m sure I lost most of you already. But it is now the 4 to 5 week wait until we see our gynae again. Bridgitte is doing fine, the belly is growing as well as experiencing pains as her body is adapting to the growth of a new life.
Update: The video on Google Video just did not cut it either. It would play until halfway and stop. SO, I finally got the vid up on MyVideo.co.za successfully and it is working perfectly. Not sure if it was the encoding of the vid since I now encoded it as Divx instead of H.264. Ja, ja, all the tech talk again.

Hi Glen! Congrats to you both on this wonderful news. Considering it’s a boy, you may want to name it something good, strong and starting with a ‘J’
I had a look at your file on Google Video and for some reason it has a weird double extension: .mp4.flv. Usually it would either be a .mp4 file OR a .flv file. This one is both. I checked other files on Google Video and all of them are standard single extensions, except this one.
Please check your original file’s extension and send a copy to us. We’d like to get to the bottom of this to make sure it isn’t something on our side … but if it is, we need to take care of it ASAP.
Thanks!
Jason
